Govt. School children usually do not have Identity cards as private school children. ID card will be a motivation for the children to come to school. It will be very useful if they have the ID card when they visit any historical places.
TMAD thought of making good use of ID cards by not only providing the regular class and section details, but also their blood group, good habits and important phone numbers.
This card will have the good habits list on the back of it and we request teachers to make the students recite them daily and inform to the teacher whether or not they followed it the previous day. Wanted to do it as a pilot in this school and measure the impact.
This card will also have the numbers of SHE Team and Child Helpline along with our NGO number to reach out for any help.
We will include phone number of HM also in the details so that if the child is missing and if someone finds them, they can give a call to HM.
TMAD reused the lanyards generously contributed by IIBA, Hyderabad when Prasanthi shared this idea of using them for issuing Identity cards to school children. IIBA also sponsored the printing of the ID cards in addition to donating the lanyards.
On 15th August 2019, we distributed ID cards to the students.
