Our Founder, Prasanthi, received a mail from Sri Ramamohan Rao Kakani of BREAD Society on 25th March, 2018, for urgent funding for their libraries. They met years ago in a meeting co-ordinated by Prasanthi and she was very much impressed by the novel work being done by BREAD Society.

TMAD is familiar with the work of BREAD Society for a number of years. It has set up 1024 children’s libraries in the last 9 years. It has been adding new books to existing libraries on a rotation basis. It will be adding 40 new books to all existing libraries from 2018 every year in addition to prizes to students for best write-ups. 

They are able to manage adding books to existing libraries largely because of small amounts of donations received through GiveIndia. Global Giving Foundation (GGF) is a similar networking organization. Partnership with it helped them service the libraries even better. Impact guru is the local partner of GGF and rupee donations to it are counted as donations through GGF for BREAD Society.

So upon receiving the request, Prasanthi sought approval from the Board. TMAD, as a team, supports any activity related to Education and books are very essential in the learning process of a student. So the Board agreed and we made a donation of Rs. 4500 for purchasing 150 books to Impact Guru.
