Livelihood Training Center
We, at TMAD, have been thinking of setting up a training center for livelihood ever since we started supporting the LTC in Vijayawada. As the initiative requires huge funding and more no. of volunteers, we kept on deferring the idea.
Thanks to Sri Kameswara Rao, who came forward to offer his buidling (which he constructed in the name of his father and uncle exclusively for social work) as venue for any good activity, we decided to pursue this idea.
Academic excellence need not be the only way for securing a livelihood. Those who are not interested to pursue higher studies for various reasons would be encouraged and provided alternate means of income. Students or the women in need might not be aspirants of a good academic credentials but want to stand on their own and be financially independent.
We will be teaching MS-Office, DTP and Pagemaker. This will not be a mere training center to teach subject. We want to develop it as a transformational center. We want to uplift them by all possible means. We will conduct Personality Development programmes for each batch so that they can express themselves, be confident and open in communication.
We are in discussion with various organizations who set up and have been successfully running such centers. We try to work in collaboration with them to the extent possible.
Thanks to all donors who generously contributed to take this idea forward as soon as we shared it with them. We could raise one lakh rupees for maintenance of the center.
NOTE: WE DEFERRED THE LAUNCH OF THIS CENTER TO A FUTURE DATE. WE WILL POST THE UPDATE BY FEBRUARY 2012.

Our regular expenses would be salaries to the tutors. Expenses including the maintenance would be in the range of 15k to 20k every month.
