06-12-2008: Priya has to pay Rs.1L 4k to allow her for final year exams. Arun and Priya went to college to request for concession on yesterday. As there is no availability of HOD, they requested them to come on next week. We may get concession up to Rs.10k. Her friends collected Rs.50k. Some of our US members are ready to pay remaining amount. Arun will pay the amount with support of her friends in Jan 1st week after having discussion with HOD.

This case is forwarded by Raghu. Priya is very good at her studies. She is having one elder and one younger sister. She is very brilliant and very courageous girl and used to participate in all the activities at school. Her father was initially working as Break Inspector Assistant (Broker Kind of job). Initially they lead descent life only but her father put Surety Sign in Bank for some one in his job circle and here plays the fate which totally changed their life. The person for whom her father gives surety got absconded and her father was in charge to pay back the whole things and in one day they lost everything their home, savings and all their things. After that they got shifted to Chennai and in some industrial area her mom and dad were selling some Tiffin items in road side. After having one year break in her studies, Priya joined Engineering at Madha Engineering College, Chennai and she was very struggling to pay her fees there. During her Third year of her engineering, since she was very sick, she couldn't write her three papers and it was pending, which she was supposed to be cleared during his final year. She has to pay Rs.1 Lakh and four thousand (pending fees) to her college management. During her final year, their college didn't allowed her to write the above three exams and they are asking her to settle down the above payment in order to allow her to write the exam. She requested their management but they are not ready to waive any amount in her fees. They have given her option to sign a bond to work there for three year as Research assistant in her college getting Rs.3000 monthly pay. She has not taken that option since that will not help her or her family. Since she couldn't afford that much amount that time, she didn't clear those 3 papers and hence she has not completed her degree. She was supposed to be 2007 passed out. She is having 73% right now.
