Details of the needy 

     Konthala Gayathri,aged 13-year-old female child suffering from pain in the leg, low back pain, difficulty walking, and went to the GEMS hospital, Srikakulam and Chaitanya Medical center, Visakhapatnam. She underwent many investigations(MRI-LUMBAR SPINE, CT EXTREMITIES RIGHT THIGH, High resolution ultrasound on her right leg, X-ray on her right leg, blood investigations, MRI-PELVIS.) and suspected cancer. The doctor suggested the patient and family members visit CMC, Vellore for further diagnostic methods and treatment procedures. At CMC, VELLORE it has been identified as bone cancer (high grade osteosarcoma). The doctor at CMC VELLORE hospital advised the family members to take chemotherapy for 1 year (one session : 3 days in a month). A total of 12 sessions will cost upto 10 lakhs and be given a certificate for appraisal. The first session of treatment started on 17th January 2024 and completed on 20th January 2024.

The cost of expenses for four days of treatment

1) Treatment cost: 15,000 per day
2) Medicine cost: 15,000 per day
3) Room charges: 500 per day
4) Food and other expenses

After the first session, the child is now feeling better and the next session will be scheduled for 7th February 2024. During discharge, the doctor advised the family members to report to the hospital immediately if the child is facing any serious illness like fever, headache, leg pain.

The patient's family members are requesting financial support for the child to lead a normal life.
