14-04-2011:I am very happy to share that, Mounika’s Operation got Successful. Surgery has been done by Dr. Jagannath garu (Surgeon).
All the Blood donars reached Hospital by 8.30 am the donation process started immediately. Mounika shifted to Operation theatre by 9.15am and followed the formalities till 9.30am.
Operation started by 9.30 am. And after 2 hrs they asked us to get 4 more units of Plasma blood from near by blood bank. We got that and send to Operation theatre immediately. Surgery has gone till 4 pm evening and it got Successful…J. Then baby shifted to post operation ward (Which is under observation by surgeon). Baby will be under surgeon observation till tomorrow evening and then she will be shifted to ICU.
After operation I have been allowed to see the baby at Post Operation Ward around 4.10 pm. I went and saw the baby and talked to doctor. She is fine and doctor said, everything went well and she will recover soon. Very Happy to know that from surgeon. And at 5 pm they allowed her mother to see Mounika.
Mounika’s Parents are very happy about her operation success. They were much tensed from past two days about her. I couldn’t able to leave them alone today. So taken leave today and I was there throughout the process. Naveen (Amma foundation) joined me at 3 pm and there till 5.30pm.

02-03-2011: We met Dr Jagannath (Surgeon) with the reports, he verified them, told the girl has some infection and it is better to wait for surgery. He gave medicines for 15 days and asked them to come on 17th March.

01-03-2011: We called Mounika and parents to Hyderabad and send them to CARE. Before surgery doctors do some investigations, so Mounika has undergone some tests like ECG, X-ray, and some other blood tests (Total 13 tests).
03-02-2011: Our volunteer Shilpa called them to confirm their visit to hospital but baby's grand mother expired 2 days back. So they can't come for one more week. They will call us either on 9th or 10th February for confirmation. May her grand mother’s soul rest in peace.
22-01-2011: Shilpaable to reach the needy today only and enquire about baby’s health. Baby has some health problem from past one week and also has cold and cough due to winter. So we told them once baby gets recovered from cold and cough then get her for surgery. They informed that baby is undergoing treatment through local physician. She may get recovered in 2-3 days. So most probably we are expecting them here till coming Monday or Tuesday (i.e 1st week of February).
21-01-2011: Mr. Suresh (Coordinator, NImmagadda CARE Children Heart care Institute) called Shilpa and asked to get the baby for surgery. Before that baby needs to go for some general check-up. And for that baby should not have cold and cough.
07-12-2010: Mounica’s parents met Dr. Jagannadh and he asked to get the ECG test for baby. After going through ECG report and other tests, doctor decided to operate baby in the week time. Since baby is very week, parents are very much scared for this short period. So they requested doctor to give them one month time for operation. Mean time they will try to take care of baby’s health. So doctor gave them some medicines till the time. We are expecting them to come to Hyderabad after Sankranthi.

06-12-2010: We called Monika to Hyderabad and taken her tonimmagadda-care childerns heart institute at care hospital-banjara hills in Hyderabad and consulted Dr. Nageswar Rao (Pediatric Cardiologist). Doctor performed echo test and other required test to the baby and forwarded to Mr. Dr.Jagannadh (Surgeon) for heart surgery.

01-11-2010: Pavan Pyda sent the reports and case details to Mr. Chakradhar garu(Smarami foundation) for suggestion and he suggested to take the child to nimmagadda-care childerns heart institute at care hospital-banjara hills in Hyderabad.

Case Details :
Baby mounika (7 years) is suffering form heart problem. Doctors found that there is hole in heart and she needs to be operated. Baby’s parents concerned in various hospitals at nellore and tirupathi. Though they have aarogya sri scheme, no hospital in nellore is ready to do the operation. So we took her to care hospitals banjarahills, hyderabad and consulted dr. Nageswar rao (pediatric cardiologist) and he has done required test (echo test) and suggested to meet mr. Dr. Jagannadh (surgeon). Since baby is very weak, doctor suggested that baby has to go under nutrition for a month. So baby will be operated in the last week of the january-2011.

History: Baby’s growth is very slow and baby is becoming very week day by day. When parents taken her to doctor check-up, doctors found that there is a hole in heart. Baby needs to be operated. Local hospitals rejected to admit the baby under Arogya sree scheme.
