History of the Needy: Sravanthi 25yrs old poor family girl got married on 28th May 2010 with Srirama Murty (Battelapadu, Atmakuru, Nellore dist) but after marriage she faced lot of financial harassments from her husband family members (Mother-in-law). When she is pregnant also they didn’t support her and didn’t give money to go hospitals for medical checkups etc as they are not interested on Sravanthi pregnancy.
So one fine day Sravanthi parents came to know about all these things and brought her to their home and took care of her till delivery, now she is having 16 months old daughter (Joshitha). Even after delivery also Sravanthi husband family members didn’t stopped harassments. So one bad day she lost her patience and drunk Acid which is available in home.
Initially she was admitted in Nellore Narayana Hospital in July 2012 but they said they are helpless and take her back to home (they said life in days only) after doing few operations. Later on Sravanthi parents enquired with all people and finally went to Vellore CMC in Jan 2013 and got admitted. They did few operations like Throat, feeding, Voice box etc, at that time they don’t have money to pay, but luckily with the help of one Dr. they got some concession and got discharged.
Current condition: No life threat, she is taking food through pipeline, unable to talk, current weight is 30kgs (aprx), need to go CMC for monthly check ups. Need to do all the operations to close all the holes in her body to bring them back to normal condition, it will take 3 to 5 months based on her energy levels.
Current food for Sravanthi: Nestle Nutrition Peptamen Peptide Based Diet, Nestle Health Science resource high protein and Nusowin Soy Proteine Lsolate powder etc.
Till now they spent 7 lakhs (by selling some land, help of donors in village, Sravanthi brother-in-law took some amount by financing his wife gold and gave it to her for expenses. Now they are expecting 3 more lakhs for remaining treatment. In Ulavapadu village relatives are trying to help their family in different ways.
There is a police case filed in Nellore on Sravanthi husband family (it’s in process), Once in a while her husband is coming to Ulavapadu and seeing Sravanthi giving some amount and going. Now they don’t want to go in deep about this police case, their only intention is on Sravanthi treatment and how to bring back Sravanthi as earlier.
