10-07-2015: Hospital waived off the remaining bill.

08-07-2015: We did online transfer Rs 1L and our volunteer Srinivas D requested Finance team again to waive off the remaining Rs 50k. They will talk to higher management regarding this and will help the needy.

07-07-2015: We did online transfer of Rs 1L and our volunteer Srinivas D requested Manipal hospital Finance team to pay Rs 1L tomorrow. Insurance paid Rs 60k so remaining balance is Rs 1.5L. So, they gave the body to do the needful process.

06-07-2015: The baby died due to serious infection. They will give the body after paying the final due of Rs 3.1L

05-07-2015: The baby is doing well now but still on Ventilator. The generated bill as of today is Rs 12.5L

27-06-2015: The baby got infection since yesterday so Drs prescribed Antibiotics and ventilator. Medicines/Ventilator will be continued for 2 more weeks. The generated bill as of today is Rs 11.5Lakhs and estimation bill at the time of discharge will be around Rs 15L. He got additional 1.5L from Insurance company. He paid Rs 4.5L so far and will pay Rs 1L on Monday. He keeps Rs 1L in hand for buying medicines from outside. Baby needs Rs 5L as of today and Rs 3.5L require at the time of discharge. We requested media also for help today.

About Problem: After Baby was born at Republic Hospital, became blue skin so took him to Jain Hospital. They did scan/tests and found that baby has whole in the heart and moved immediately to Manipal Hospital. They did Heart operation for on 4th July. Baby was on ECMO machine for few days which costs around Rs.1.8L after discount from Rs. 3.5L. The baby is on Ventilator now and has to continue to be in ITU for 10 more days. The total estimation of the expenses will be around Rs. 10L. Please see the estimation letter from Dr.

Renjis's company gave Rs 3L under Insurance (spent 50,000 towards his wife's delivery charges), his company is trying to support him through the Insurance company. His colleagues collected around Rs 40k and he got another Rs 40k after publishing this need in Manorama Magazine (Malayalam). He needs around Rs 6.7L (10-2.5-.4-.4) as of now. He is trying to get help from friends and relatives. Hospital team said that they will give concession in the final bill.

Family Details: His father is a painter and he has two brothers who are married and working in a small retail shops. All are residing separately and their earnings are sufficient for their family expenses only. They are also trying to help him. He stays in a rented house by paying Rs 5750 per month and paying Rs 6500 for EMI Loan which has taken for his marriage last year.

His wife's parents also poor and father-in-law was admitted in the hospital due to health issues. They are paying expenses by taking loan on Gold.

So no support from his family as all are in poor condition.
