TMAD, a group which was started owing to the inspiration after working on a medical case, is committed to offering help (monetary and moral support) to needy patients.
We wanted to pilot the projects with 50 kits each month (our budget is Rs. 5000 per month but we need to increase it to Rs. 5600 for 60 kits)
Kits Distribution to Arogyasree patients @ CARE Hospital:
we have been associated with CARE Hospital, Banjara Hills for medical cases. Our volunteers used to visit hospital by taking leave from office and be there all through during surgeries and other critical times. In the process, we got in touch with Dr. Nageswara Rao garu, Cardiologist of CARE Hospital.
Dr. Nageswara Rao is a man of compassion. He facilitated Arogya Mitra Ward for the Arogyasree Families to take shelter. He observed that the patients and their families do not follow hygiene principles and are literally unclean. As a doctor, he understands the importance of hygiene and specially oral hygiene for kids. He takes time to educate the patients and their families. He personally helped many poor patients for food, travel expenses and other support. He suggested TMAD to consider giving Hygiene Kits to Arogyasree Patients' families.
Our volunteer, Prasanthi, spoke with the families of Arogyasree patients and understood that diapers for kids is a major requirement for them and most of them cannot afford to buy. Also the expenses for food are more which they are not able to afford.
The Kit includes:
1. Bath Soap (Aloe Vera or Neem/Sandal soap manufactured by KVIC)
2. Shampoo Sachets - 4
3. Washing Powder - 2 packets
4. Coconut Oil
5. Comb
6. Toothpaste
7. Toothbrush - 1 for elders, 1 for kids
We, TMAD, are committed to promoting eco-friendly products and Khadi Mission

Volunteers: Special thanks to Raghu who works in Vasu Medicals for assisting us to get the kits in a discounted rate from Begum Bazaar and all other volunteers who are involved in successive distributions. Special mention to Sri Suresh garu of CARE Hospital. His support is the only reason of successfully running this activity. He makes sure that the real needy, the poorest of the poor, receive the benefit.
