Details:

Keerthana Foundation serves elderly people (sick and abandoned), cerebral palsy patients, mentally retarded and children, with the help of dedicated staff. D. N Anil Kumar Goud, an Advocate, and his wife Mrs. Madhavi Goud, a govt. teacher are the care takers of this foundation. The foundation has strength of 90 members, in which 25 members (both men & women) are mentally challenged, and 25-30 children are orphans. 15 Children are also mentally retarded;  5-6 people around age 40+yrs are totally bed ridden. There are around 3-4 children who are CPs (Cerebral palsy patients). The orphan children go to nearby govt. schools and children who are mentally retarded are looked after by 2-3 teachers within the home. The foundation has a staff of 10-12 members  in which there is a cook, 3 women nurses,  3 men who work as guard, receptionist etc. Most of the expenses are managed by the Founder himself. The commission he receives from LIC for the bonds that he facilitated is spent to address the requirements. Some of the nursing staff takes up “Home Nursing” work and the income is used for the foundation. Salary is paid to the staff on monthly basis.

Contribution:

06-12-2011: TMAD provided 6 Rexine beds which was a dire requirement at the Foundation.

Expenditure: Rs. 9000 for 6 beds (cost of one bed – Rs. 1500)
