About RIMRS

RIMRS, It is a school for mentally retarded children located at Palamaneru, Chittoor District. They have about 70 students, out of which 40 are localites and 30 are staying in the hostel. Teachers train them how to do their daily chores like brushing, eating food etc. Government pays salaries for these teachers. They need financial support of Rs.10k per child per year for their food, clothing and books.

Like every year this year also we celebrated New year celebrations with RIMRS children. Our volunteers visited RIMRS on 29th December, 2012 and spent whole day with the children.

                    The children are very happy to see our volunteers and welcomed us with whole heart. In the morning we cut the cake, distributed to all children and after that we conducted games like carroms, lemon spoon, ball in the bucket, cricket and musical chair.

                     We had lunch with children and distributed prizes to the winners in the games, after that the children performed dance and skits which we enjoyed a lot.
